Because commercial induction cookers operate at high intensity for extended periods, with power ranging from 3.5KW to 50KW, short heating times, and rapid cooking speeds, coupled with the time constraints and vigorous effort required by chefs during cooking, the microcrystalline glass panels of commercial induction cookers must possess significantly greater resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks compared to those of ordinary household induction cookers. Insufficient resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks, and inadequate temperature tolerance, can lead to breakage. Secondary repairs are not only inconvenient for users but also damage the reputation of the induction cooker manufacturer. Therefore, the development of durable microcrystalline glass panels is essential.
In the Pearl River Delta region, some manufacturers have begun to address the issue of easily broken commercial induction cooker panels. For example, Dongguan Hongtai Glass Factory conducted research and development on this problem and developed a thicker microcrystalline glass plate in October 2008, significantly improving the panel's durability. While the thickness of microcrystalline glass panels in ordinary household induction cookers is around 3.5-4mm, the thickness of microcrystalline glass panels in commercial induction cookers can reach 6mm, enhancing their resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks.
